magnet moneyWe’ve talked about the advantages of being friendly, not that there are any disadvantages, to help attract new clients. In business, one needs to stand out from the competition, and by going the extra mile, you can make that happen.

From the ever-so-important in person experience, let’s move to the online one. There’s one thing that can’t be denied…you can reach a lot more potential clients and business via the web.

10. Utilize the web for all it’s worth. If you’re not already on Facebook or MySpace, get on. Aside from reconnecting with people you’ve eluded for decades, you can use it to market your business. I would recommend joining newsgroups and chats that cater to your business interests. You can prospect, and learn what customers and competition are talking about. The only cost here is your time. Use it right and it will be well spent.

Try to establish yourself as an expert, while attracting followers (i.e. potential customers), which in turn provide email addresses (good for future marketing). Offering free, valuable, online information, like discussed in Part 3 (done in person), is a great way to establish new relationships. Next thing you know, you’re creating a database of new clients you didn’t have before.

Let them know the advantages of an online cross-promotion. If their clients can become your clients, and vice versa, you’ll be amazed at how quickly your business will grow.
